Dr. James Ross, DDS
Dr. James M. Ross holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biochemistry from Hartwick College and New Paltz respectively. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from SUNY Buffalo and completed his General Practice Residency at the Erie County Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, and a member of the Ninth District Dental Society.
Over his 30+ year career in dentistry, Dr. Ross has been most proud of providing patients with the same high-quality dental care he would want for himself and his family. His patients, adults and children alike, enjoy his friendly, honest, and caring nature.
Dr. Ross is originally from Red Hook and is proud to be a part of the local community. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Dr. DiMaggio, DDS
Dr. John DiMaggio received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU’s College of Dentistry and, having completed a general practice residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, worked as an associate at a private practice in Brooklyn and Queens for four years before joining Red Hook Dental. He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, and the Dental Anthropology Association, and has done research at institutions like the American Museum of Natural History and NYU Dental College.
His areas of specialty range from digital and biometric dentistry to patient-centered care. Known for his integrity and lifelong dedication to learning, Dr. DiMaggio takes great pride in always giving his patients honest, professional opinions with their wellness at the forefront.
Originally from Florida, Dr. DiMaggio lived in Chicago as an active Mid-Western Archaeologist while studying tooth microstructure before moving to Dutchess County. When he’s not working, he enjoys exploring his interests in anthropology, archaeology, and outdoor activities like hiking and paddling.
